Books and other material for your japanese studies!
| Good books and methods | |
| In this section, I'll recommend you some articles, books or methods I've been using. It'll be about japanese language as well as culture or litterature... | |
| Kanji. | |
| Kanji Learner's Dictionary. I think this book if one of the best about kanji!! You'll find the 1945 first kanji, as well as the kanji used for the names. There are lot of examples for each kanji. At the end of the book, there are different ways to search a kanji. You can search by "on" or "kun" reading, by number of strokes, by radicals... This dictionary is really a must have. If you should to buy only one book about kanji, I'd say you "Buy this one!". You can buy this book by clicking on "Buy from amazon.com" ^_^. | |
| Tuttle Kanji Cards I First box for 440 kanji cards. I used it a lot and I'm still using it to review my kanji. For people who don't feel very well with kana for the moment, the cards in this box have "roumaji". I'd have prefered kana, but,... I think these cards don't cost too much cause you'll use it a lot! But, I'll also recommend you to buy a kanji book / dictionary if you want to know more about kanji! | |
| Tuttle Kanji Cards II The second box of these kanji cards. These are the other kanji to reach the 6th kanji grade. You'll have 566 new kanji in this box, so, a total of 1006 kanji ^_^. Note that kanji stroke order isn't on it anymore cause they considerate that you should know how to write it after learning the first 440 kanji ;). | |
